it still works pretty bulletproof and powerful, im also using similar one daily for 4 years now with matching original speakers and it works fine

To get the full bass you need to sit opposite and near the the wall because they dont have the ports.

yes, it delivers clean sound and its durable too!! mine still works
I have these. They prefer to give bass and treble more forward at you than middle. The port is fun if you turn the bass and volume up, the port punches air at you. They are very different in sound to other Sony bookshelf speakers.

Got them new in 1979 in the rare white edition, - and they can really put out some serious bass when cranked up !

Yeah stuff was made to last back then, this thing was soaked when I found it and I had to dry it outside for 2 days before it was somewhat dry and it still worked

Assuming you installed an amp, where did you run the power cable from the engine bay into the interior? i can't find any space or openings.
